The winners of this year’s 2013 San Diego Asian Film Festival were announced at last Saturday’s gala awards dinner. Congratulations to all of the winners!

Grand Jury Award: Karaoke Girl, directed by Visra Vichit-Vadakan
Narrative Feature: Sake-Bomb, directed by Junya Sakino
Feature Documentary: Your Day is My Night, directed by Lynne Sachs
Narrative Short: The Perils of Growing Up Flat-Chested, directed by Yulin Kuang
Short Documentary: Draft Day, directed by Josh Smith
Animation: The Present, directed by Joe Hsieh
Special Jury Mention: Documented, directed by Jose Antonio Vargas and Ann Lupo

Karaoke Girl plays on Wednesday, Nov. 13; Documented plays on Friday, Nov. 15; The Present plays on Wednesday, Nov. 13 as part of the ANIMATION: THE ILLUSION OF LIFE program; and Leslie Tai’s shorts GRAVE GOODS and SUPERIOR LIFE CLASSROOM play on Saturday, Nov. 16 as part of the CURSES IN CURSIVE program.
