When the past catches up to the present, two high school sweethearts must decide what they will risk for love.

Su Junjie was present at the scene of his wife’s alleged suicide and then leaves her dying at the hospital. Not surprisingly, the police start asking questions about the fleeing husband. Meanwhile, Chou Xiaochen loves her daughter and plays the good wife, but is reunited with an old flame after fourteen years, causing her to question who she really wants to be. That old flame happens to be Junjie. The two hit the road, running from the hospital and the police, making an escape from their present lives to resuscitate an older one. But as history starts to repeat itself, the two must figure out a new plan.

Or is it so simple? In this thrilling story of love and circumstance, it’s never clear who is telling the truth – be it the suspects, the witnesses, or the reporters covering the crime. Director Lou Yi-an spins this web of lies into a sardonic look at the role the media takes in pursuing criminal justice.
