Last Minute SDAFF Halloween Costume Ideas

Posted October 31st, 2014 by erwin in Blog

If you’re reading this, chances are you forgot it was Halloween and you didn’t think about your costume party or that you’re going trick-or-treating with the little ones tonight. We at Pacific Arts Movement & SDAFF feel like you can get over this minor problem. With all the films at the upcoming SDAFF, there should be a costume idea for everybody. Here are 5 ideas that we think you could pull off asap.

FOR THE ATYPICAL ASSASSIN
RU

RU 2
You weren’t born into a family of assassins, so why not dress up like the biggest atypical assassin of all-time, Ru.
Success rate: 90%.
We’re sure you have these items in your closet, even the fake sword. That yellow headband might be tough.

FOR THE ATHLETE
KANO BASEBALL PLAYER

KANO 16
You could dress as part of one of the biggest underdog stories we have in the upcoming SDAFF. These guys overcame enormous odds to compete as a multi-racial team.
Success rate: 75%.
Repurpose a Baseball jersey with the KANO letters, then throw a black fitted cap and baseball socks, and you’re ready to play third base.

FOR THE SLACKER
GRICE. (BONUS POINTS: BRING HOT DOG)

Suburbanite Still
If you got through this post and weren’t okay with the options, this is you’re best bet. Even Grice would dress up as himself, but then his mother would question his choices.
Success rate: 100%.
There’s a really high chance you’ll just get a bunch of stares, but deep down you know and we know you’re Grice from Suburbanite. Go on, make us proud.

FOR THE OVERACHIEVER
EUGENE TSSUI

TELOS
If you truly believe that anything can happen, you’re already on the same wavelength as Eugene Tssui. If this idea already has your mind going, go for it.
Success rate: 10%.
If you could really pull this off, we’re going to need proof. Tag us with @pacartsmovement and #15SDAFF.

FOR THE KID AT HEART
BLUE FORCE

BLUE BUSTAMANTE
This is hard mode like Eugene Tssui, but maybe you have something hidden from Comic-Con or you might have blue spandex and a biker helmet laying around.
Success rate: 75%.
If you can’t get the costume down tonight, cosplay as a member of Force Five (Blue, Red, Green, Yellow, or Pink) to any Blue Bustamante screening and you’ll get in FREE.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
