In this powerful personal documentary, director Doan Hoang turns the camera on her family and the memories it’s suppressed for decades: that Doan’s parents left Doan’s half-sister behind in Vietnam, and that the family has cut ties with brothers who fought for the Communists. OH, SAIGON follows the family as they visit Vietnam for the first time in 20 years and as two generations confront the resentments that have cleaved several ends of a family after war. –Brian Hu
